A wired alarm system is suitable where there is existing wiring installed to a system which may be old or failed. The new alarm components can then be retrofitted using the old wiring as long as it is in good order. A wired system can also be installed where no cabling is fitted at present, however a site survey will be required to establish how the cables will be installed.
